Official Community Plan Update

Cameron Scott, Manager of Community Planning in Saanich, will provide an update on the Official Community Plan ( OCP) on Wednesday October 25th from 7 to 9 pm in Art Room 1 at the Cedar Hill Rec Centre. The OCP is the policy framework that guides growth and development in our district. The revised plan will build on the 2008 vision for environmental integrity, social well-being and economic vibrancy. It will incorporate recent work on the Climate Plan, Housing Strategy and Active Transportation Plan. Opportunities for public input included two Open Houses on June 6th and June 17th, webinars, workshops and an on-line survey. Cameron Scott presented a report on the Phase 2 Engagement Summary to Council on August 14th. Staff were seeking direction on how Local Area Plans and the Centre, Corridor and Villages Plan would be addressed in the revised Official Community Plan document.
