The Great BC Shake Out is set for October 15, 2026 at 10:15am.
People all across the province (and worldwide) will practice how to “Drop, Cover and Hold On”.
While potential earthquake hazards depend on your location, everywhere on the Island and throughout BC is considered at a much higher risk than any other part of Canada.
The Shake Out is an annual opportunity for us, our communities, schools, and organizations to practice essential earthquake safety.
