What’s All the Buzz About ?
March 25 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

QCHCA’s Climate Action group invites you to a free workshop to learn about pollinator corridors and to participate in a citizen science initiative. This event will be held at the Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary teaching centre on Saturday March 25th from 10 am to 12 noon. Students from the UVic Community Mapping project will demonstrate how to use iPhones and iPads to upload data and identify pollinator habitats in our neighborhood. This activity will help to clarify where suitable flowers need to be planted in order to develop and strengthen pollinator corridors. A guided field trip to the area near the Swan Lake nature house is included to identify and photograph pollinator friendly species. You are welcome to attend both workshops on March 18th and 25th . Please bring your own iPhone or iPad. Refreshments will be served.
