Snowbirds Airshow
August 3 - August 4
The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will return to Victoria this August for a weekend of aviation events, including an airshow over Dallas Road and an opportunity for fans to meet current and former team members.
The festivities begin on August 3rd at the BC Aviation Museum in North Saanich, where current Snowbirds pilots will take part in autograph sessions alongside former pilots and support crew.
The museum will also unveil a fully restored CT-114 Tutor jet, known as Snowbird 1, from the team’s original fleet in the early 1970s.
The long weekend concludes on August 4th with the Snowbirds’ signature aerial demonstration over Victoria’s waterfront. The airshow is scheduled to begin at 5pm over Dallas Road.
The Snowbirds have flown the Tutor aircraft since the team was officially formed in 1971, and the Royal Canadian Air Force is preparing to replace the aging jets with a new aircraft in the coming years.
