Restoration Walks in Greater Victoria (Zoom Meeting)

Dr. Val Schaefer will give a Zoom presentation on tuesday Jan. 26/21 at 7 to 8;30 pm. Please send an email to susan.haddon2@gmail.com to request an invite and Zoom link. Susan Haddon will host the meeting. Dr. Schaefer will speak for 45 minutes followed by an update on community issues for our members.
Dr. Schaefer was the director of the Restoration of Natural Systems Program at U. Vic , and a Professor in Environmental Studies. His talk will provide an overview of local restoration projects and include rain gardens, invasive species removal and stream enhancements. He is the author of the book ” Urban Biodiversity: Exploring Natural Habitat and it Value in Cities. His website is www.beyondthepail.net.
