QCHCA invites you to an informative presentation about the Bowker Creek initiative and watershed on tuesday March 28th at 7 to 8:30 pm at Cedar Hill Rec. Centre in the Art Room 2. The presentation will be given by Soren Henrich, Chair of the Friends of Bowker Creek Society and Creative Director of Watershed Moment Communication. Bowker Creek is 9.4 kilometers in length, about half of it is in culverts underground and some areas have been daylighted. The headwaters are located at UVic, it then flows through Saanich, Victoria and Oak Bay and into the ocean near Glenlyon-Norfolk School. In 2010 The CRD and community partners collaborated to develop the Bowker Creek Blueprint which is a 100 year plan to restore the creek and watershed. A model of the creek and watershed will be on display at the presentation.
